Rowan’s Runic Guidance

Rowan is a diviner of the Viking Runes and has been working with the Runes for over 30 years. Divination is a technique that engenders the reader to “randomly” select symbols which are then interpreted as indications of the energy flows and messages from the Cosmos. Carl Jung described it best in his theory of Synchronicity. Coupled with his theory of the Collective Consciousness (Cosmos), Synchronicity drives the symbol selection/revelation, and the diviner interprets it. Jung first developed his theory after using the I Ching, Chinese divination technique involving either tossing 3 coins or dividing yarrow sticks to create a hexagram which is read. More familiar techniques use Tarot, Angel, Oracle, or regular playing cards (cartomancy). The simple act of opening a respected literary work (i.e., a Bible or something you hold as similar), randomly selecting a passage and having it somehow apply to where you are at that time is divination called Bibliomancy. Ancient Greeks and Romans would read the patterns of birds in flight or the entrails of a sacrificial animal.

It is not fortune telling. It is reading the current energy flows. The future is not set in stone, and even if it were, stone can be broken. If the Runes reveal things are heading a certain way, THAT is the way they’re heading at THAT time if alterations are not made. Don’t like the way it’s heading? A Rune reading typically also provides you with guidance and the power to call upon to make alterations.
